ANNs represent a powerful tool to help physicians perform diagnosis and other enforcements in Medical Intelligence. In this regard, the book insights ANNs as a tool for cancer gene prediction in DNA microarray data as it have several advantages including: (i) The ability to process large amount of genomic data for finding facts about gene sequences, interaction of genomes, and unified working of genes in the formation of final syndrome or phenotype (ii) Reduced likelihood of overlooking relevant information (iii) Reduction of diagnosis time ANNs have proven suitable for satisfactory diagnosis of various types of cancer diseases on ALL/AML, CNS tumor, colon tumor, lung tumor and Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). In addition, their use makes the diagnosis more reliable and therefore increases patient satisfaction. Computer assisted gene prediction to retrieve the gene information necessary from the DNA microarray experimental data and to develop the efficient novel enhanced classifier is the focus. This book presents the methods of summarizing and elaborating on informative and intelligent data to continuously improving and contributes greatly to effective, precise, and swift medical diagnosis using hybrid techniques for finding dominant genes in microarray gene expression datasets. The technique of cancer prediction using Micro-array gene expression dataset described here produces a better solution to improve the prediction accuracy of cancer gene prediction. However, despite their wide application in modern diagnosis, it is considered only as a tool to facilitate the final decision of a clinician, who is ultimately responsible for critical evaluation of the ANN output.
